Team 2 Travels Back in Time at Old Sturbridge Village
Team 2 had a fantastic time visiting Old Sturbridge Village! Students stepped back in time to experience life in a 19th-century New England village.

History came to life this week as Team 2 embarked on an immersive educational field trip to Old Sturbridge Village. Moving beyond the pages of their textbooks, students stepped into a recreated 19th-century New England town to experience the daily rhythms of early American life firsthand. Throughout the day, students explored authentically restored historic homes, meeting houses, and shops. They had the unique opportunity to interact with costumed interpreters, asking questions about trade, family life, and the challenges of the 1800s. A highlight for many was watching traditional crafts in action, where skilled artisans demonstrated blacksmithing, pottery, and textile work using period-accurate tools and techniques. This trip provided a vital bridge between classroom lessons and real-world history, allowing students to visualize the heritage of our region. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff and parent chaperones whose support made this memorable journey into the past possible!
